"Save a tree,
move a house!"

It may not seem worthwhile to move an entire house to a new site, but sometimes a move pays off.

Purchasing a recycled house and moving it to your own site is good idea for a few reasons. The first is that the home is already built; you only need to purchase the house, pay for the move and the installation of electrical wiring, plumbing, and a new foundation. The other is that it's great for the environment. You're not cutting down more trees to make a brand new house, but rather using existing materials that may otherwise be demolished or disposed of.

An average structure consumes about 100 cubic yards of landfill space. Recycling these structures saves 5 million cubic yards of landfill space per year while saving 2.5 million trees!

HEAVIEST STRUCTURE MOVED!

Patterson and his crews moved this historic gymnasium in New Orleans in late May 2006. This 714,000 lb, 45' tall, 103' long and 85' wide wood structure was moved using 6 dollies and a specialized trailer along with the use of 48 special toe jacks. This massive job was done in only 8 days. The gym had a basketball court, a stage and bleachers which all remained in tact during the move.

WIDEST STRUCTURE MOVED!

Not only do Patterson and his crew hold the Heaviest Structure Moved title, they are also on the way to being awarded the Widest Structure Moved for the move of this Maharishi University building in Fairfield, IA.

The building was 122' wide, 152' long and 47' tall and weighed 320 tons. This moved required the use of 8 dollies.
